Unsettled: Crete

Unsettled Crete is for remote workers looking to step outside of their routine, have some fun, and love to travel and gain perspective on life. 

Unsettled is for the deeply curious, emotionally intelligent, and globally-minded working professional. We are 35 - 60 ish. As a community, we come from 80+ countries, speak multiple languages, and seek diversity in all its forms. This community is for you if you welcome - and even seek to attract - inclusive, diverse, and deeply curious humans in your life.

Unsettled Crete is in Kissamos Bay, on the northwest corner of Crete. Our villa is beachfront, a 5-minute walk from the center of our village, and within 45 minutes of several of Crete’s most famous beaches, towns, and an international airport.

Unsettled's pricing depends on when you sign up. We have early bird pricing until June 15th. After that, the cost goes up by $100 USD. See our current pricing here.

We recommend that you budget $300  - $500 USD in pocket money for the trip, but this can vary widely based on how you eat and the additional activities you do while in Crete. You can have a great dinner and glass of wine for 12-15 euros, prepare your own dinner for just a few euros (there's a kitchen in our villa), or easily spend 50 euros for a nice meal out depending on your budget.

The Unsettled Crete Experience includes lots of local adventures. We’re going on a full day boat trip to Balos Beach (one of the world’s top beaches); a road trip by rental car and/or motorbikes across western Crete, an afternoon trip to a local vineyard, and lots of food (a hands-on cooking class, a Greek BBQ, and much more). 

Your flights are not included. You will cover 7 dinners and 8 lunches and your own snacks or additional food. There's a kitchen at our villa, you can order in, and we will even do a grocery run and stock your fridge before you arrive. Unsettled does not cover any alcoholic drinks on the trip.

Yes. It’s half-price for your partner.  

Your retreat starts on Saturday, October 12th. You can get to Kissamos Bay on your own on the afternoon of October 12th, or you can fly into Chania International Airport (about 1 hour away from our villa). We will provide shuttles from Chania International Airport at 2 pm; 5 pm; and 8 pm on October 12th (times to be confirmed in early October).

If you arrive early, we recommend you stay a night in the gorgeous town of Chania and our airport shuttle can pick you up at 2:30pm on Saturday, October 12th. 

As soon as you pay your deposit or first payment, your spot for the trip is secured. This deposit/first payment remains refundable for 10 days following your payment, subject to a $100 administrative fee. There are no refunds after that. Should you need to transfer your payment to another trip, you can do so up to 60 days before the start date of your trip, incurring a $250 administrative fee (or minus any amount that Unsettled has lost due to your transfer, at our discretion). You must use your remaining trip credit, the amount you transferred, within 12 months or it expires. Please note that there are no transfers available if there are fewer than 60 days remaining before your trip’s start date.
