Our islands are ideally spaced apart, so we sail 2 to 3 hours most days, and spend the rest of our time snorkeling, relaxing on the beach, and visiting local tiki bars.

FAQs

Our meeting point is at Blue Lagoon Marina in St. Vincent on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Please plan to arrive to the Marina by 11 am local time on April 5th. Further instructions, including directions and logistics, will be provided in the final two weeks leading up to the trip.

If you are flying internationally, most flights arrive at Argyle International Airport (SVD) on St. Vincent. We recommend arriving the evening before the trip begins to allow time for travel delays and to start your adventure refreshed.

You can depart from Blue Lagoon Marina on Saturday, April 12, 2025, starting at 12pm.

The boundaries between work, life, and travel are becoming blurred, fundamentally changing how we live today. Unsettled brings together groups of travelers and professionals from around the world for uniquely co-created experiences.

Our trips are community-driven and co-created designed to break your routine and inspire a renewed sense of growth, meaning and adventure. You can expect to be hands-on and contribute throughout the experience. You can expect to sit down and think about our itinerary with our skippers, take the helm, raise the sails, drop the anchor, cook family-style meals, pitch in and clean shared spaces, throw themed parties at night, and much more. There are no passengers on these trips, only crew!

These trips also bring lots of social time, adventure, and, unlike the world we live in, unknown and unpredictable elements for how we move, live, and explore life this week.

No! Most participants do not have any sailing experience, and many get to learn on the trip as it is a very hands-on experience!

Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds For Travel Experiences: As soon as you pay your deposit or any first payment, your spot for the trip is secured. This deposit or however much you pay with your first payment remains refundable for 10 days following your payment, unless you are within 60 days of the start date (no refunds or transfers within 60 days), subject to a $250 administrative fee. Should you need to transfer your payment, you can do so up to 60 days before the start date of your trip, also incurring a $250 administrative fee. Please note that neither refunds nor transfers are available if there are fewer than 60 days remaining before your trip's start date. Additionally, all participants are required to obtain travel insurance. This insurance must cover trip cancellation or interruption, including cancellations made by you, and provide for emergency evacuation and international health insurance coverage throughout your travel with Unsettled.

Every day is different. Most days, we’ll sail for 3 to 4 hours, leaving plenty of time to swim, snorkel, and explore the beaches and islands. On some days, we may have shorter sails, while others might include a longer journey to reach the next stunning destination in the Grenadines.

Most people on an Unsettled retreat are professionals who are deeply curious, have many hobbies, and are kind and courteous. This isn't a post-college party trip. Our average age of participants is mid 30's to mid 40's, but we've hosted folks of all ages. Living Unsettled is truly ageless.

We've hosted CEOs and entrepreneurs, artists and experience designers, and people who are active, even experts, in everything from transcendental meditation to CrossFit, from Bikram yoga to kiteboarding, and from diving to flying. On any given day, however, most of us are content hanging out with each other, exploring new places, and trying new things.

Since thinking big about our work and careers is one of the organizing principles of Unsettled, many participants are high achievers who organize major conferences, run businesses or are even recognized experts in their field. We have a lot of designers, developers, entrepreneurs, and startup enthusiasts on our trips. All of this being said, it's not required to be working on something or have a "professional CV" in order to live Unsettled with us.

These experiences are social by definition, and so one of our main qualifications is to look for people who share some simple principles:

  • Open to spending time with people from different cultures with different value sets

  • Curious about the people and the world around them

  • Considerate of others

  • Basically, as long as you're not an asshole, you'll fit right in

Unsettled covers breakfasts and lunches on the boat. Before the trip, we’ll gather your preferences and stock the boat with everything needed for delicious and flexible meals during the day.

Dinners are a group effort. We typically eat 3 or 4 dinners on shore and 3 on the boat.

We’ll pair participants together to cook one dinner during the week, and the crew will split dinner costs. This is your chance to curate the evening—select a playlist, open some wine, or even organize a game or theme. Some nights will be quick and casual meals, while others may turn into more elaborate and festive dinners.

Breakfast and lunch are usually enjoyed on the boat. Some mornings, we’ll grab a quick b'fast and coffee before heading out to sail, swim, or snorkel; other times, we’ll enjoy a leisurely meal together at anchor.

We’ll also plan for a couple of lunches on shore throughout the week, giving you the chance to explore the local goods.

Please note that alcohol is not included. Before departure, we’ll create a group list, and a couple of participants will shop for drinks and provisions for the week.

Food and drink costs in the Grenadines are generally more reasonable than in other remote destinations, but availability may vary, so it’s good to be flexible and embrace the adventure!

Our boats are typically 42 - 44 foot catamarans and/or 50-54 foot monohulls. They typically have 4 cabins (or bedrooms) and each cabin sleeps 2, for a total of 7 - 8 people typically per boat. All cabins are shared unless you checkout with a private cabin option. Shared cabins typically mean you have a small room with a queen-sized bed and a toilet and shower directly accessible from your cabin. It's common to bring friends, and partners, or come alone, in which case we will pair you with a same-gender crew member in your cabin.

Great question!

4 weeks before your trip, we’ll start sharing all the important arrival details. You’ll receive emails with information on arrivals, packing lists, eating preferences & provisions, and Unsettled’s community values. We’ll also host a pre-trip Zoom call to connect everyone on the trip and answer any last-minute questions. Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

We anchor the boats in the calmest coves we can find. We anchor before sunset so we can relax, debrief, enjoy a happy hour toast, cook, and eat dinner as a group. We may plan 1- 2 "party nights" where we can let loose and have fun, and on other nights we have family-style meals, star gaze, play a game, go to bed early, and/or sip our favorite drinks in paradise.

This trip has limited spots available and will sell out quickly.

From the time we depart the dock on Saturday until we return, plan to budget around $250–$350 USD for the trip. This will cover a couple of dinners out, optional adventures, and any personal expenses like snacks or souvenirs (if you drink fancy cocktails this can increase exponentially).

Alcohol costs will vary depending on your preferences. If you keep it simple, you’ll likely stay on the lower end of the budget, but if you enjoy mixed drinks at multiple stops, it could add up quickly.

While USD is widely accepted in the Grenadines, we recommend having some Eastern Caribbean Dollars (XCD) on hand for smaller, local purchases. The best way to get local cash is through ATMs on St. Vincent or Bequia before we set sail.
