The Experience

Unsettled does more than guide people to epic destinations.

We believe the best experiences are actively co-created with an engaged community.

We approach these "3 Days On" workshops the same way we lead our adventures around the world.

Each participant - yep, that's you - brings your life experience and perspective to contribute to our collective imagination of how we can live and work differently.

You'll join small group discussions, share your voice in breakout rooms, and meet professionals like you.

The goal is to get you to step outside your routine, expand your perspective, and articulate what calls, inspires, and engages you in the world.

A Toast to Lebanon Highlights

Storytelling

Storytelling

Surprising to some, research shows that Storytelling is a pillar of having a meaningful life. You need to draw together the threads of your experiences into a narrative that provides clarity over time. A consistent story like this can reveal connections in your life that might otherwise go unnoticed. Consider anyone you look up to—do they have a consistent story of who they are? It’s time to write yours.

Purpose

Purpose

Purpose is actually an important part of having meaning, but it's not what you may think. Purpose is about channeling meaning into intentional action. This pillar is all about turning your values into clear goals, aligning your daily actions with what genuinely moves you. Through a fresh lens of our Ikigai workshop, you’ll explore new insights on purpose, discovering how to design a life that reflects and responds to your sense of purpose through what you do.

Community

Community

The pillar of Community, or what some researchers call Belonging, emphasizes the profound role of connections in creating a meaningful life. There are various styles for cultivating a sense of belonging, and you’ll discover and articulate your own. This segment explores new approaches to finding belonging—from joining affinity groups to engaging in local committees, activism, or simply finding 'your place.'

Work

Work

As a foundational pillar in cultivating life’s meaning, Work reflects how we express who we are through what we do for others. This module explores finding purpose in work by focusing on service—a universal driver of job satisfaction across cultures, professions, and backgrounds. Beyond aligning with personal values, true fulfillment comes from connecting your work to something or someone greater than yourself.

The experience

Connection

We get goofy, laugh out loud, share serious moments from life, and show up with genuine vulnerability. It’s through this openness that strong connections form, setting our space where we can engage in some great conversations and connections.

Creation

Bring your sticky notes, highlighters, and notebooks. We're rolling up our sleeves and diving into the act of creation — building something that doesn’t yet exist. In order to do this, we have to embrace the unknown by definition, so we're going to push our boundaries of imagination, crafting new visions, and designing paths forward.

Your Take Aways

Each participant will finish this experience with a few key takeaways. First, you'll build a mission statement for where you find purpose. Second, you'll identify and articulate the parts of your life story that give you moments of meaningful connection, and how to recreate these. Third, you'll create a plan for where, when, and how to pursue meaning at work from now on.

3 Days On:

Cultivating Meaning & Purpose

Think of this series as a global conversation with others interested in more than surface-level connections The workshops put you in a position to answer big questions for yourself, and the breakout rooms allow you to meet and hear from others around the world living differently. We don't have the answers, but we ask the questions and build the connections.

Unsettled’s experiences are for a global audience of creatives, entrepreneurs, and solopreneurs who seek growth, connection, and adventure.

Our ‘3 Days On’ series is open to first-time Unsettlers as well as our alumni.

Each cohort is limited to 25 participants, as we include lots of breakout rooms and opportunities for sharing in a smaller group. Our goal is to build connections, and we believe in keeping it under 25.

The Unsettled community is diverse and welcoming of people of all nationalities, faiths, ethnicities, and identities. We proudly have many alumni and team members who are part of the LGBTQ+ community, and we do not put up with any intolerance, disrespect, or discrimination, in its most micro-form or otherwise.

If this sounds like an epic community to you, join us! If not, there are plenty of other places for you to seek connection.

Our ‘3 Days On’ series is for those who are ready to engage with curiosity and respect within a deeply curious and diverse community.

You will need some basic technology: Zoom and the ability to learn and use some of Zoom’s features to seamlessly participate in breakout rooms and opportunities to share.

Empathy. The ability to actively listen to other participants.

Full participation. There’s no room for passengers on this ship; crew only. That means having done any prep work asked of you, and staying engaged so that when we come around to you and ask you to share, you’re right there with us.
